Vasai fort dates back to 11th century When Mumbai was cluster of malaria ridden island, Vasai was a dazzling port with magnificent Portuguese colony. In 1737 it was liberated by Maratha's after three years of the fierce campaign.Fort has witness many key moments of Indian History.
Fort houses many Churches and monuments. Recent restoration by ASI has made it easy to observe these monuments.
Spread over 100 acres these ruins are home to wildlife like jackals, reptiles, and birds.
