Visapur: The companion fort to Lohagad, Visapur also served as a lookout point for the trade route passing through Lonavala.The fort of Visapur is much more expansive and has a still standing fortification on the top. The door and steps leading to the top of the fort are worth a look.

Bhaja Caves: The buddhist excavations at Bhaja, also known as Bhaja caves, date almost to the 1st century AD and are believed to be one of the oldest buddhist religious centres in this area. it is also a big tourist draw as it is near Lonavala, but thankfully, because of its classification as a national monument, it is relatively well maintained compared to many other tourist attractions here.

The journey starts with the Indrayani express. People interested should catch this train from respective stations with ticket till Malavli & meet at lonavala station.

(Plz get your respected stations at least half an hour earlier, as there might be a long queue for the tickets)

Move forward to Malavali by local train 

(8 :15am at Lonavala station platform no 3 Pune- Lonavala Local).

Pune Station: 06:27 Hrs

Shivaji Nagar : 06:33 Hrs

Malavali Station: 07:40 Hrs

08.30 AM : Meet at Malavali Station. Breakfast and Start Trek to Visapur Fort.

12.30 PM : Reach at Top of Fort & Explore.

01.00 PM : Lunch Time

02.30 PM : Move 2 Bhaja Caves

04.30 PM : @ Malavali Station

From there 2 Lonavla / Pune by local

Take train / bus to Mumbai.

We would be returning to Mumbai by 21:00 Hrs (that’s-subjective).

5. Electoral / Enerzyl powder, 2 Lemon, some snacks & biscuits

6. Personal medicines.

7. A good trekking shoes, wind cheater
