WSR Invite you all to Night Trek to Highest peak of Maharashtra "Kalsubai" on 13th & 14th February 2016.

Kalsubai Peak (Marathi: कळसूबाईशिखर)is the highest peak (1646 meters) of the Sahyadris on the border of Igatpuri Taluka, Nashik district and Akole Taluka, of Ahmednagar district of

Maharashtra, an Indian state.

'Kalsubai' temple is located at the topmost peak of Sahyadri mountain range of Maharastra. At the summit there is a small flatportion with a small temple of Kalsubai, a local deity. A traditional prayer (pooja) service is held every Tuesday and Thursday by a local priest. Local villagers sell the pooja materials almost all year long, while sending their cows for grazing. 

Navratri occasions many stalls are set up near the summit for the pooja materials. During the

Navratri period, for all nine days, special poojas are carried out and idol is fully decorated. Special Mela (fair) is organized forNavratri. Local guides often accompany climbers to the summit. 

Itinerary for this trek:-

We will be leaving by Second Last Kasara Fast Local on 13th February 2016 ( Saturday )

Time Table -

10:50 pm :CST

10:57 pm: Byculla

11:04 pm: Dadar

11:12 pm: Kurla

11:17 pm: Ghatkopar

11:27 pm: Mulund

11:31 pm: Thane

11:54 pm: Dombivali

00:03 am: Kalyan

01:18 am: Kasara

01:30 am meeting @Kasara station, move towards base village bari by private vehicle.

02:30 am reach bari and start our trek to Kalsubai summit.

06:00 am reach atop see the sunrise, photography, tea & breakfast, take rest for sometime.

08:00 am start descend to base village.

11:00 am reach base (Breakfast at villagers home)

12:30 pm start journey to Mumbai 

2:30 reach Kasara railway station and take a local to Mumbai

Reach Mumbai approximately 05:00 pm (1 or 2 hours +-)

 

Includes: -

Transportation from kasara to base village by private vehicle.

Morning breakfast & tea.

Travelling from base village to kasara.

Guide & expertise charges.

Excludes: -

Train tickets to kasara

Any personal expenses

Any other charges not mentioned above.

A bottle of water (atleast 3 Ltrs) must

Bunch of Papers, Camera, Cap etc.

Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)

A good trekking shoes, extra pair of floaters.

A haversack to put in all the things to be carried....so that one has ones hands free while trekking.

Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
