About:

Kondana Caves situated in Karjat offers the ancient lifestyle of Buddhist followers. Ancient rock-cut caves, Kondana Caves are very famous Buddhist caves. These caves enclose sculptures, vihara, cahitya and stupa. Sculptures and stupas are specimens of the ancient period Buddhist architecture. There was a natural disaster in the form of an earth quake in early 1900 by which many stupas, front entrance and floor of the caves were damaged. These ancient caves attract lots of tourists and Buddhist devotees all through the year. Kondana Caves is around 15 KM from Karjat. 

 

Itinerary for the Trek is as given below:

Note: Members are requested to take return ticket till karjat by their own.

Board the second last compartment from Karjat side which is the second one from CST side

 

Day - 1, 25th December 2015 ( Friday )

Train Timing for Karjat Fast

16:30 PM   CST

All Meetup at Karjat railway station

Move to Base Village by Tam Tam

Reach Base Village by 19:30 PM, then Start our trek

Reach Kondana Caves in 1 Hour

Dinner Preparation ( Will be a complete Team Work )

Have fresh cooked Dinner.

Enjoy the cloudless night with starts to gaze at and Campfire

Sleeping Time ( Stay in Caves )

 

Day - 2, 26th December 2015 ( Saturday )

Wake up before the sun and watch the mesmerizing sunrise. 

Prepare Breakfast (Maggie is Back Guys) basssss 2 min

Have Breakfast

Explore fort and Photography session

Start Descend. 

Reach Kondana Base Village by 12:30 pm

Lunch at Base village

 

The cost of the Trek will be Rs. 500/- per head which includes,

Transportation from Karjat to Karjat, 1 Breakfast, 2 veg meals ( Dinner & Breakfast will be prepared on Camping Site with complete team work ) & WSR charges.

Maximum 30 seats (Registration will be closed on 20th Dec 2015)

Sleeping Bags / Mat, Bedding (A Must)

Maggie Packet ( 2 Small ) for Breakfast

Torch with spare batteries ( A must)

Mosquito repellent  ( Odomos Etc..... )

Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits, etc.

Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)

Good trekking shoes preferably ACTION,

A haversack to put in all the things to be carried.

Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.

5 Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the any events. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the event. NO REFUND will be provided.
