A rare animal "Shekru" can be found in deep woods. Bhimashankar is worth visited for jungle lovers and trekkers as well as for pilgrims.

Padargad is situated in between Bhimashankar and Nagphani (Snakes hood).The base village is khandas which is about 25km from karjat. Padargad is adjoined to Bhimashankar on its one side’s end. From the Nagphani peak of Bhimashankar, one can see the mesmerizing view of the valley below and the semi circular cliff connecting to Padargad. The peak looks like Kalavantin durga from base.

People from suburban can join same train at their respective stations with their return ticket (Check below time at major stations).

Tentative Schedule:

07.50 am: Move towards Khandas Village by Local Transport tum tum / tracks.

08.50 am: With Breakfast, Introduction & Instruction, Start trek via ganesh Ghat.

10.40 am: Chimney Climbing.

11.30 am: @ Top of Padargad & explore surrounding.

12.30 pm: Lunch in cave.

01.00 pm: Start Descend

03.00 pm: @ Midpoint of ladder & ganpati ghat route and rest.

04:00 pm: Start to bhimashankar Trek.

06.00 pm: Reach bhimashankar temple and stay in local home.

07.00 pm: Reach to temple and enjoy surrounding.

08.30 pm: Have delicious Veg Dinner and retire for the day.

Sunday, 19th June 2016.

05.30 am: Wake up call.

07.00 am: With B/F & T visit Gupta bhimashankar, Nagfani.

10.30 pm: Start to descend Via Ganesh ghat.

01.30 pm: back to Khandas & have Veg/non veg lunch at villagier.

04.30 pm: Back to karjat.

 

Check list: (Rain Shower expected so please pack your bags accordingly.)

Compulsory items:

A proper two sided haversack to put all the things, So that one has hands free while trekking, id proof, Approx 3 ltr water, Sat Lunch, Torch with extra batteries, bedding material like shawl-mat or sleeping bag,some snacks, Should ware good trekking shoes, full sleeve shirt/T-shirt & Full Pant, Raincoat.

If you have any medical issue please carry your own medicine as we carry only First aid.

Non compulsory items:

Cap, Sunglasses, Woolen Jacket, Camera , Avoid wearing Gold and other jewelry, mosquito’s repellent, Electoral / Energy powder, 2 Lemon, & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution.
