Brief introduction of the fort:
Hight: 3200 Feet
Kohoj, the hill fort is situated in Palghar region. One can see this fort while traveling on Mumbai-Ahmadabad highway near Manor Naka. This fort is at about 12 kms from Wada.
We will be taking the route which starts from Waghote. This village is located on Manor-wada route at around 8 kms from Mumbai-Ahmadabad highway. One can reach to the top of Kohoj within 3 hrs from the base village. We can find the name of Kohoj in the list of those 23 forts, which were surrendered by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Purander treaty with Mughals on 11 June 1665.

* Temple of Lord Krishna.
* A man-shaped pinnacle is one of the greatest wonder of nature’s creation. This is the most attractive place on the fort.
Reporting place and time:
1) Central Line participants meet at Kalyan Station sharp 6.30 a.m.
2) Western Line participants meet Palghar Station sharp at 7.30 a.m.
# Central line participants can catch any train reaching Kalyan station by 6.30 am
# Western line participants must catch slow Palghar local leaving Churchgate 05.24 am
