What's in it for me?

- Adventure

- Photography

- Offbeat trek

Known as one of the off-beat treks of the Sahyadri range, Chanderi Fort is an ideal destination for avid trekkers to come and experience the zest of a challenging trek! In May 1656, Shivaji Raje conquered the entire territory of Kalyan-Bhiwandi-Rairi. That was when the fort came under the rule of the Marathas. As you make your way through the trail, cross narrow paths and dense jungles to reach the Chanderi Caves. At the top, there exists a statue of Shivaji Maharaj, which serves as a reminder of the courageous battles that the fort has stood witness to. Chanderi Trek is best explored up to the caves from where the view is mind-blowing.

Major Attractions

  • Top view: Karnala, Prabalgad, Irshalgad, Manikgad, Peb & Matheran
  • Huge elongated pinnacle
  • Spectacular panoramic view
