Description

Dear Trekkers and Routine breakers,

Get ready to explore the mountains, to enjoy bathing in natural water along with pleasing breeze and panorama of Sahyadri ranges. Let’s gear up to join ‘Outdoor Adventure’ on yet another venture..we are glad to announce a “Trek to Koraigad” on 16 June 2013 in the Lonavla region.

About Koraigad

Shivaji Maharaj incorporated this fort in Swrajya along with Lohagad and Visapur in 1657. On March 11, 1818 British col. Prother invaded this fort and succeeded on 14th march.

Koraigad appears like a wall from Peth Shahapur. On the top of the fort is a huge plateau and two beautiful lakes. The ramparts on this fort is around 1 ½ km in length. On the way we come across caves and few water cisterns. After entering Ganesh darwaaja, we can see remnants of old structure and few cannons.
