Dear trekkers,

          Trekगुरु invites you for one day trek at Kalavantin pinnacle on Saturday 04 July 2015



This fort is just opposite to Prabalgad. It is also visible from Mumbai-Pune Expressway. According to stories, the fort was built for a queen named Kalavantin. Steps leading up to the fort have been cut into the rock face of the hill. The Adivasi People of Machi-Prabal village observe the custom of dancing on every Holi (Shimga) Festival at the top of Kalavantin Fort.

The fort top commands an excellent view of the surroundings with Prabal in the front. Matheran, Chanderi, Shrimallang, Irshal, Karnala, Manikgad, etc can be easily identified.


Trek Schedule:

Meeting point panvel railway station sharp 7.30 am

Than Breakfast near station

After Breakfast we move ahead to Base Village by Pvt Vehicle in next an hour so..

Introduction, instructions and start the trek

Reach the top in 3-4 hrs.

Explore the fort and start descending by 2pm.

Lunch Break at PrabalMachi

Reach the base till 5 pm.

Start our return journey and Reach Panvel by 6pm.
