This is the only trek that takes you through different terrains on each day. You start your climb from Kullu valley passing through dense pine and maple forest, followed by hiking through lush green meadows alongside the river. The first sight of snow awaits you as you climb up all the way up to the pass. On crossing the pass, you enter into Lahaul valley which is a cold desert, completely distinguished from the earlier terrain. On completion of the trek, we drive to the dazzling Chandertal Lake. For the record, this trail has had many trekkers falling in love with the mountains forever after.

Day 1: Sunday 18th June 2017 
Overnight drive from Delhi to Manali
We start by 6pm from Delhi airport- Domestic terminal hence all participants arriving via flight are advised to assemble at the parking lot by 5.30pm. Participants arriving otherwise than by flight, must assemble at the Main gate of New Delhi Railway Station by 6.15pm, this being the second pickup point.
The bus will take us through till Manali, where we reach early morning the following day.

Day 2: Monday 19th June 2017
Acclimitization Day, Sight-Seeing in Manali (Altitude: 6,700 feet)

Manali is situated at high attitude, thus it is important that the body acclimatizes well to the altitude before getting higher up in the mountains. On reaching Manali, we enjoy a healthy meal, freshen up and rest for a while at the hotel. Later, we go around seeing a few places in Manali for acclimatization purpose. Also, all participants shall ensure that anything that is required for the trek and is yet needed to be purchased, shall be done later this evening. Any extra luggage which need not be required during the trek can be left behind at the hotel.

Day 3: Tuesday 20th June 2017 
Drive from Manali to Jobra, Trek from Jobra to Jwara (Altitude: 9,800 feet to 11,100 feet)

We travel by road to Jobra. The route is a steep uphill with multiple hairpin bends on the way. A dam and hydropower station is situated at Jobra. This place has some stunning views of an overhanging cliff that looks like Pandora from the movie Avatar. This is where our day's trek begins. The trail passes through a dense forest with tall pine and maple trees before it opens up to lush green meadows with the Rani Nala running right through the valley. We then enter into a terrain of stones and boulders, crossing which we reach a waterfall. It is now time to experience your first crossing of an icy cold Himalayan stream. Not too far from here, you'll be able to spot our campsite for the night!

Day 4: Wednesday 21st June 2017 
Trek from Jwara to Balu ka Gera (Altitude: 11,100 feet to 12,400 feet)

Today’s trek begins with crossing over the valley after passing over a few small streams, followed by a gentle uphill slope. Here's the point where you'd have left the tree line behind. Walking over lush green terrain you will be able to see snow-clad peaks in the distance, beyond which somewhere lies Hampta Pass. We reach Balu ka Gera, a beautiful campsite with exotic sunset views. It has got its name due to excessive amounts of silt depositions left behind by the flowing river. Here, you may experience some strong winds during the night.

Day 5: Thursday , 22nd June 2017 
Trek from Balu ka Gera to Sheagoru via Hampta Pass )Altitude: 12,400 feet to 14,100 feet; descend to 12,250 feet )

Today's trek is divided into 2 parts: Moderate ascent to Hampta Pass and descent to Sheagoru campsite.
The climb to the pass is moderately steep. You move along the river, until your first serious climb begins. The section up to the pass consists of climbing two plateaus, a moderate descent followed by the final vertical climb up to the pass. Reaching the top of the pass is an extremely fulfilling experience. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains before descending into Lahaul valley.

The descent is slightly trickier at as compared to the ascent. Depending upon snow conditions, we may have the option to enjoy a swift snow slide down the slope. You then traverse through some slippery terrain before getting to the campsite. The distinguishing nature of the terrain will leave you amazed.

Day 6: Friday 23rd June 2017 
Trek from Sheagoru to Chhatru, Drive to Chandertal and back
Altitude: 12,250 feet to 10,900 feet

You follow the river on your way down before crossing it for the last time during the trek. The descent down is slightly tricky while it offers fabulous views of typical Lahaul valley landscape comprising of barren mountains with patches of green. Walk through the valley consisting of some slippery patches till you get to Chhatru where we halt for lunch. Depending whether or not the roads are open, we drive to Chandertal (14,100 feet) in Spiti valley, which is about 70 kms away from Chattru. This is a moon-shaped lake of incomparable beauty and leaves one spellbound. At most times, one can see a clear reflection in the lake of the mountains around. After spending sometime here, we drive back to Chhatru, where we set camp for the night.

Day 7: Saturday 24th June 2017 
Drive from Chhatru to Manali
Altitude: 10,900 feet to 6,700 feet

The drive to Manali is a very scenic one. Bidding adieu to the Spiti valley, the route passes through Rohtang Pass, which has fantastic views all around. On reaching Manali, we freshen up and rest for a while at the hotel. Later, we celebrate our accomplishment with wholesome dinner at one of the prestigious restaurant.

Day 8: Sunday 25th June 2017 
Adventure/Rest Day in Manali; Evening bus for Delhi

This day is free for all the participants to do what they wish to. You may rest for the day, visit nearby localities or indulge into adventure sports in Solang valley. However, everyone must ensure to arrive at the bus terminal at Mall Road by 3.30 pm at the latest since we would depart from Manali by 4 pm. The bus would reach Delhi by morning 9 am approximately. You could book further travel arrangements accordingly.

Day 9: Monday 26th June 2017

Reach Delhi Morning around 9 am
Trip concludes with happy memories!

· Avoid wearing precious Jewelry while trekking, as Travel Trikon won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.
· Please make sure you report at the start location as per the itinerary. No refunds would be entertained by Travel Trikon. Consult your Trikon buddy in advance in case of any changes.

Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.

Fitness & Health – Though trekking is a fun-filled activity, it demands good amount of physical fitness. If you are under medication, please carry your medicines. During the trek, leaders will have over the counter medication for temporary treatment, so do give a heads up to them if you need any medical assistance.
