Description
Bheegi bheegi raat me dil ka daaman thaam le
Khoyi khoyi zindagi har dam tera naam le
Chand ki behki nazar keh rahi hai pyaar kar
Zindagi hai ek safar kaun jaane kal kidhar
Hum toh challe Irshalgad tu bhi chal ae bekhabar

Irshalgad is not a fort but actually a pinnacle. This is the reason why it hardly figures anywhere in history. Shivaji Maharaj captured the complete region of Kalyan and Bhiwandi, up to Rairi in May 1666. This fort too, must have come under the Maratha rule at that time. Irshalgad is a fortress located between Matheran and Panvel in Maharashtra, India. It is a sister fort to Prabalgad. The area of the fort is not large but there are several water cisterns cut from the rock.
