About Sarasgad fort: Sarasgad is located near Pali, it is the one out of the eight “Ashtavinayak” Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha of Pali is named ‘Ballaleshwar’ and located just behind the temple can be seen the ramparts of Sarasgad fort. Shivaji Maharaj brought this fort under Swarajya and spent 2000 Hon (the prevailing currency) for its reconstruction. Till independence this fort was under Bhor Sansthan. Once on the fort we see Kedareshwar temple and a lake nearby. Two bastions are there to keep watch on surrounding areas. We can locate Sudhagad, Tailbaila, Dhangad and Korigad.

It is mandatory that you visit your personal physician before enrolling for the trip if you suffer from any illness of any kind and disclose the same and your medical history to the organizers of the trip so that best possible arrangements can be carried out post approval. In case of unexpected mishaps or accidents, we will arrange for the injured patron to be taken to the nearest medical hospital wherever possible. Wear good trekking shoes. We recommend you to please take care while walking / climbing / trekking. Wearing of any valuables, ornaments, jewellery etc. is prohibited. We all are going for an adventurous and interesting trekking expedition. Note, this trek route does not have any fixed/proper/appropriate washrooms or bathrooms.
Caution: Trekkers should be aware of Honey bee attacks at Saraasgad. Please learn well in advance how to handle emergencies. Avoid use of perfume and Deo while on this trek. No smoking specially during this trek.
