                                                Andharban Dense Forest Trek

Hello friends ,

Monsoon is just around the corner and monsoon in Maharashtra is not always about water logging, flood and traffic jams. there are so many places near Mumbai and Pune which are blessed with beautiful nature and they come alive in monsoon with marvellous spots and green hills, lush forests, flowing springs and glinting waterfalls making for the best experience of trekking in Maharashtra.


Brief Information about the Place: –

Andhar means Darkness and Ban stands for dense jungle, so the word Andharban means, Dense Dark Forest. The fascinating thing of this trek is 13km long trek has to be the hardcore jungle cover over your head. A major portion of this trek route involves walking through this dense and dark forest. The start point of this trek i.e. Pimpri dam begins in bright daylight which keeps on fluctuating as we keep entering the dense part of the forest and out, this only adds up to the magic that this place has to offer. The trek concludes at yet another dam called the Bhira dam which is also the source of the Kundalika river which is famous for its White Water Rafting. 30% of the trek is all descend and remaining is normal walking. While on the route we can see the beauty of places like Ghangad, Tailbaila, Sarasgad, Plus valley, Tamhini ghat, Kundalika valley.

Range : Mulshi, Pune.
Base Village : Pimpri (Tamhini Ghat).
Grade : Medium, High on Endurance.
Height : 2,100 feet Approx (Start point).
Trek Distance : 13KM (Roughly 6-7 hours to complete)

Schedule for the Event: – Meeting Point at Pritam Hotel on 25th June 2017 at 05:30 AM.

05:30 am – Pritam Hotel Dadar.
The pickup points will be as follows:
06:15 am – Diamond Garden, Chembur.
07:00 am – Vashi below Main Bridge.
07:30 am – McDonald, Kalamboli, Panvel.
08:00 am – Breakfast at Lonavala / Packed Food any which
10:00 am – Reach Pimpri dam ie the start point of our trek.
10:30 am – Commencement of the trek after briefing and a short introduction.|
01:30 pm – Lunch at Hirdi Village (Simple Local Food)
02:15 pm – Continuing with the trek.
05:00 pm – Reach Bhira dam ie the End point of our trek.
10:00 pm – Mumbai tentatively (Depending on the Traffic and shall be Tentative)

Cost for the Event is 1100 / – Per Head

Inclusions:
Travelling from Dadar to Dadar by Private NON AC BUS.
Breakfast, Lunch
Basic First Aid
Guide and Professional Expertise.

Exclusions :
Personal expenses.
Insurance of any kind.
Medical hospitalization, evacuation and related expenses.
Any item not covered under “inclusions.


THINGS TO CARRY-
1. Good footwear (Mandatory).
2. Extra Pair of cloths, Towel, napkin. (Wear Full sleeves clothes)
3. Water (2 ltr minimum).
4. Cap / Gog / Camera (optional but useful).
5. Insect repellent cream/ sun protection cream (Mandatory).
6. Slippers or floaters (just to relax your feet before & after the trek) (optional)
7. Personal small medical kit. (If u require usually/Optional)
8. Other things as per your choice.
9. Haversack to put all these things.
