Kaas - Satara Tour: 

Kaas plateau is a plateau located near Satara. It falls under the Sahyadri Sub Cluster of the Western Ghats and it became a part of a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2012. It is situated high hill plateaus and grasslands turns into a 'valley of flowers' during monsoon season, particularly from August to early October. Kaas Plateau has more than 150 or more types of flowers, shrubs and grasses. The orchids bloom here for a period of 3–4 weeks during this season. To control possible damage by tourists, the number of visitors to the plateau has been restricted to 3,000 per day.

Ajinkyatara is a fort on one of the seven mountains surrounding the city of Satara in the Sahayadri Mountain of Maharashtra. The fort is located at Ajinkyatara Mountain, which is 3,300 feet high. As the fort is in the higher altitude, visitors can enjoy a magnificent view of the entire Satara city.

Sajjangad meaning “Fort of Good People”, is located near the city of Satara, It is the final resting place of Sant Ramdas in 17th century India (born 1608). His teachings and works written in books such as Dasbodh are read and followed by many people even today in the state of Maharashtra and Sajjangad is a popular place of pilgrimage.

Thoseghar waterfalls is a scenic spot located near the small village of Thoseghar, 20 km from Satara city, at the edge of the Konkanregion, in WesternIndia. There are a series of waterfalls, some of them 15 to 20 metres and one of approx 200 metres in height. People come from all over Maharashtra to visit the area, especially during the rainy or monsoon season, July to November. Heavy rain falls during that season, and because of this the falls have more water and are more spectacular. The immediate area is calm and quiet, with a clean lake and dark woods in a hilly area.

Day Plan: 

Day 1 Bus leave from Mumbai at 11pm
Day 2 & Day 3

Arrive at Satara
Visit to Ajinkyatara, Kaas plateau, Sajjangad and Thoseghar Waterfall. Overnight stay will be at Sajjangad.

On Day 3 Leave from Satara at 4:00PM & Arrive at Mumbai 11:00PM.

  • Each participant shall uphold the reputation and interests of the group.
  • Leader / Co-leader will take necessary action in case of any indecent/rude/ unruly behaviour by the participants.
  • All care would be taken on the trek w.r.t safety and we do not take responsibility for loss of any kind caused to the participant during the trek, including physical or monetary loss due to any unforeseen circumstances.
