We at NaTrek Explorers, have arranged a 1 Day Monsoon trek to Kondana Caves on Sunday 12 July 2015

The route to caves is easy level trek. Trekkers will get to explore nature and see various insects, birds and reptiles. A great opportunity for photographers. On reaching the caves we will get waterfall to enjoy. Also on returning to base village we will get to play in river Ulhas (depending on the flow rate) and safety.
About Kondana Caves :
Kondana Caves situated in Karjat offers the ancient lifestyle of Buddhist followers. Ancient rock-cut caves, Kondana Caves are very famous Buddhist caves. These caves enclose sculptures, vihara, cahitya and stupa. Sculptures and stupas are specimens of the ancient period Buddhist architecture. There was a natural disaster in the form of an earth quake in early 1900 by which many stupas, front entrance and floor of the caves were damaged.
These ancient caves attract lots of tourists and Buddhist devotees all through the year. There are some restrictions on these protected ancient caves. Smoking and the consumption of liquor and aromatic foods are prohibited nearby places of the caves.
The journey starts boarding the Local train. Participants to board this train from respective stations with Return ticket till Karjat. Missing the train means missing the event.Please be there 10 mins before the time.

Return home by 8:30pm with lot of memories, experiences and photographs
Contribution: Rs 500.00 per person.
Morning Breakfast & Tea, evening tea and snacks, travelling from station to base and back.

1.A Water Bottle (2 Ltrs).
2.Sleeveless, low neck, figure hugging shirts/tops, hot pants not allowed.
3.LUNCH- Ready to eat or packed lunch.
4.windcheater or raincoat. no umbrellas.
5.Camera, Cell Phone (Carry plastic cover to protect from rains).
6.Pls avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
7.Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.
8.Medicine those if you require usually (Optional)
9.Extra Pair of clothes (Complusory)
10.Good trekking shoes
11.dry slipper/floater to wear after trek.
12.A haversack/backpack to put all these things.
13.Plastic bag to keep wet clothes on way back.
