Lobhi Is famous Range Trek amoungst Regular Trekkers 

With drizzling rain and showers, now is the perfect time to do Lonavala to Bhimashankar Range Trek in Sahyadri.


Lonavala to Bhimashankar is known to be one of the ancient trek routes in the Sahyadri ranges. This old route shall put your endurance level to test. 

This a life changing experience, and worth every effort that you put in every stride. Hills and downhill, plateaus and long vast plateaus, dense forest 

of Karvi plants, ever-changing route, breath taking beauty. One of the most amazing trekking experiences we must say.

One can test their endurance levels while enjoying the natural beauty and wilderness with different species of butterfly and flowers, waterfalls,

mountains & plateau for 3 days, along with the delicious food made by the local villagers.





Little info about the trek


Distance to be covered: 70 to 72 km approx.

Difficulty level: Medium

Endurance level: High - Previous trekking experience required.

Meeting at : 00:21 Khopoli Station.

If you miss the train you miss the trek so make sure you are on time to catch the train. People may board the same Karjat train from the station of their

Day 1: Saturday, 3rd Sept 16


Meeting at : 00:21 Khopoli Station.

Travel In Private jeep till base

Start our trek from Lonavala,

06:00 am: Breakfast (Thepla & Tea)

02:00 pm: Lunch Enroute

06:00 pm: Reach Padaryachi Wadi

Dinner and stay



Day 2: Sunday, 4th Sept 16

06:00 am: Wake up

06:30 am: Breakfast

07:30 am: Start trekking

12:30 pm: Lunch break,

02:30 pm: Reach Bhimashankar,

Visit Temple if Time Permits


Trek will be officially over at Bhimashankar.

From here you can opt for Bus to Pune / Mumbai or you can trek down to Khandas (Karjat Side).

03:30 pm: Start descend via Ganesh ghat till Khandas

09:00 pm: Reach Karjat

(Note: As from Bhimashankar direct ST buses are available, so descend via Ganesh ghat is optional for participants)

Things To Be carried:


Bottle of water (Atleast 3 Ltrs),


TORCH with extra batteries, (compulsory).


A spoon, mug and a plate (a must)


2-3 bunch of papers 


Sleeping bag Optional OR blanket will also do.




Extra pair of Cloths for 2 days 


Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits, etc.


Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)


Good trekking shoes,




A haversack to put in all the things to be carried. so that one has ones hands free while trekking.


Please do not carry sling bags or Jholas.


Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.




Smoking, Alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics and any kind of intoxication, firearms and gambling strictly prohibited.


Please do not litter, we believe in the saying, “When you go to the mountain leave only your footprints and bring back only memories”


The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.


Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen in spite of taking utmost caution and care.


The club will not be responsible for injury / accident / death to the participant while on trek.
