Dear friends we invite you to Monsoon one day Trek to Kohoj Fort near Palghar with Mumbairangers on 4 july 2015, Saturday.

Kohoj, the hill fort is situated in Palghar region. One can see this fort while traveling on Mumbai-Ahmadabad highway near Manor Naka.
This fort is at about 12 kms from Wada.
We will be taking the route which starts from Waghote. This village is located on Manor-wada route at around 8 kms from Mumbai-Ahmadabad highway.
One can reach to the top of Kohoj within 3 hrs from the base village. We can find the name of Kohoj in the list of those 23 forts, which were surrendered
by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Purander treaty with Mughals on 11 June 1665.

Kohoj: The route of this trek is 70% shadowed with dense forest, a big lake at the base and few water sources on the way and many water tanks on
the top makes it a pleasant trek & also famous for Human pinnacles

Itinerary:

Breakfast at Palghar
Travel to base village by private jeep
Round of Introduction and rules & Regulations
Start the trek by 09:30 am
On the plateau by 11:30 noon
Explore the fort & Lunch (2 Hrs)
Descend back to the base till 03:30 pm
Travel back to Palghar by private jeep
Reach Palghar by 5:00 pm
Travel to Mumbai by local train and reach by 7:00 pm
