About Sudhagad Fort:

Located in the vicinity of Pali and endowed with about 50 acres plateau atop, Sudhagad offers a wonderful and easy trek. Sudhagad, situated at the height of about 600 meters is well fortified by steep cliffs. Due to its qualities Sudhagad was actually proposed by Naro Mukund to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to make it the capital of Hindavi Swaraj. Shivaji Maharaj visited Sudhagad to survey it, but he chose Raigad because of its central location. 
Sudhagad fort is situated in Sudhagad taluka. The central place of Sudhagad taluka is Pali, well known for its Ganpati Mandir which is one of the eight Ganpati Mandirs popularly known as Astavinayak..

Tentative itinerary:

06:00am: Leave from Mumbai
09:30am: Reach base village
10:00am: Start trekking
12:30am: Reach on the Top & explore the fort
13:30pm: Lunch time
14:30pm: Start descending
16:30pm: Reach base village
17:00pm: Leave for Mumbai
21:00pm: Reach Mumbai

What to Wear 
Footwear: Good Trekking / Sports Shoes. Avoid running shoes and chappals. You can also carry an extra pair of kitto’s in your haversack. 
Clothing: Full sleeves tee shirt and full trek pants. You can also carry an extra pair of clothes for change. 
Bag: Carry one lightweight haversack to pack all your belongings. Wrap all your belongings in a plastic bag and double wrap your valuables.

What to Avoid 
– Tight and restrictive clothing 
– Footwear with heels 
– Costly jewellery and electronic items 
– Sling bag or Jhollas 
– Everyone has to follow instructions of the Trek leaders & Instructors.
