Sudhagad (also called Bhorapgad) is a hill fort situated in Maharashtra, India. The origin of this fort is said to date back to the 2nd century B.C[citation needed] the same age as the Thanale Caves and Khadsamble caves nearby. It was then called Bhrorapgad (after its presiding deity, Bhoraidevi). In 1436, it was captured by the Bahamani Sultan. In 1657, the Marathas took over and renamed it "Sudhagad" (the sweet one). It was a large fort and Sudhagad was considered by Shivaji as the capital of his kingdom. He surveyed it, but instead chose Raigad because of its central location.


The itinerary for the trek will be as follows:

Dadar – 10:18pm

Kurla – 10:26pm

Ghatkopar – 10:30pm

Thane – 10:46pm

Dombivali – 10;58pm

Kalyan – 11:05pm

Karjat – 11:56pm


(If you miss the train you miss the trek so make sure you are on time to catch the train. People may board the same train from the station of their convenience and meet us in the train directly. Get into second Last boggy from CST side)


We will proceed to the base village by Jeep Transport.

Reach the base village by 3:30 am

Rest for some time, Breakfast

Introduction & Start trek

Reach top of Fort by 8:00 am

Explore the Fort

Start descending by 12.00 pm post Lunch

Reach the base by 3:30 pm

Reach Mumbai by 9-10 pm.


The charges for the trek will be Rs 850/- per head, which includes Travelling from Kasara to Kasara by Private Jeep, Breakfast , Lunch, Guide and MumbaiRangers Expertise charges

Important things to carry :

Water Bottle (3 ltrs)

Compulsory Torch with Extra batteries,

Electrol 1 pack

Sleeping bag or chaddar (can be used While taking Rest)

Some ready to eat snacks biscuits waffers etc



Medicines if required

Good Trekking shoes.


Smoking, Alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics and any kind of intoxication, firearms and gambling strictly prohibited.

Please do not litter, we believe in the saying, “When you go to the mountain leave only your footprints and bring back only memories”

The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.

Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen in spite of taking utmost caution and care.

The club will not be responsible for injury / accident / death to the participant while on trek.
