Trekking shoes with rubber sole and haversack/Rucksack are compulsory. Please do not carry suit cases/ one strap sacks etc.
You must wear full trouser/ full trek pant while on trek (Salwar also works fine for ladies).
Your clothing should be decent and sober.
Avoid carrying excess cash / gold ornaments/costly gadgets.
You should carry only necessary items, needed during the trek, which you can comfortably carry on your own.
Participant should also note that the “nature calls” may have to be answered in open air during the trek.
Please ensure you also carry an identification card (like driving license, voters ID card etc.), along with a photocopy.
What you should do now?
What should be your first step after going through this brochure? Simple….fill in the application form (Available on web site also) and enroll yourself. And yes…. Start jogging practice.
A get together of all the participants of the Himankan-2015 will be held at Mulund on 10th May, 2015 at 18.00 (The venue of the get together will be conveyed later).
And now some general idea about clothing…
Dressing in layers is the mantra. Two T-shirts worn one over the other is warmer than a T shirt that is thick. This is just a guideline. Mileage varies based on your physical condition, threshold to cold etc. If you are prone to cold, carry an extra sweater.
