  • The fun and excitement of this amazing Chandratal Lake Trek with Hampta Pass begins with your arrival in Manali.after getting freshened up, embark on a local sightseeing tour. Visit some of the local attractions and upon completion of lunch, take a short drive to Chika; en route, visit the sacred Vashist Temple and experience its hot water springs. Upon arrival in Chika, settle down in the basecamp and retire for the night.
  • Day 4 - Trek from Chika to Balu ka Ghera (11,900ft)

    After a wholesome and nourishing breakfast, set on an easy trekking trail that is supremely impressive! Today, you’ll experience the true beauty of the Himalayas as you set eyes for the very first glimpse of towering snow-capped peaks. These are the Dhauladhar ranges, the outer Himalayan chain of mountains. Walk through flowering meadows and valleys that create a delightful picture-perfect scenery for you to revel in. Cross a log bridge; over a fast flowing mountain stream, cautiously to arrive at Balu ka Ghera, the hibernating grounds for the great Himalayan brown bear followed by overnight stay in camps.
  • Day 5 - Trek from Balu ka Gera to Siagoru (12,900ft) crossing Hampta Pass (14,100ft))

    Following these trails, arrive at the spell binding Hampta Valley and experience its enchanting beauty at the best. Continue to cross the Lahaul Valley after leaving Hampta Village to reach Siagoru basecamp; overnight stay in tents. 
  • Day 6 - Trek from Siagoru to Chatru (11,000ft), Drive from Chatru to Chandra Tal

    Compared to the other days, today will be an easier one! Beginning with the trek (after breakfast), start descending through the Hampta Valley. The magnificent Pir Panjal ranges of the inner Himalayan circle appear ahead of you! On the way to Chatru, you will be crossing through the stunning cold desert land of Spiti Valley with a dominating landform of its own.
    Arriving in Chatru, relax for a while and adore its scenic beauty. Hereafter, a drive through the magnificent trails and passes of Chatru will take you to Chandra Tal, where you will spend the night in Chandratal Lake camp.
  • Day 7 - Drive from Chandra Tal to Manali.

With your arrival in Manali, this wonderful Chandratal Lake Trek with HamptaPass will come to an end.

You need to be in good physical condition before the start of the winter camp.  Your physical fitness is important for a successful completion of the trek. …It is very important that you line the inside of your bags with a big polythene sheet. 

Few rules we would like our participants to follow:
We follow a strict policy of "no trace" trekking, "Take nothing but memories and photographs, leave nothing but footprints".

Do Not Litter: Participants are requested to carry the waste back to the city and dispose it off in dustbins.

No Smoking, tobacco and alcohol: Smoking cigarette, chewing tobacco or related products and consuming alcohol is strictly prohibited on the trek. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the trek. NO REFUND will be provided.
(Smoking will only be permitted before the trek starts and after the trek is over with prior consultation of the Leader and the person will have to move away from the group to smoke.)

Respect the Heritage: Participants should not deface or damage any monument by writing or scribbling on them. Please help us to conserve and preserve our heritage along with our trek friends.

Be a group: It is of utmost importance that all participants stick together in the group, in the event of any ‘deviation’ by the participant without the consent of the ‘Trek Leader’, he/she/they will be considered as ‘Independent/s’ and will no longer be considered as a part of the group.

Pay attention: Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.

In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; Trek Mates India, it’s instructors, organizers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.

Any violation of the above rules will be dealt with seriously, and may involve expulsion from the trek or event, and no refund is admissible in such cases.
Adventure activity is arranged considering normal weather. In case of occurrence of any natural calamities, if event is cancelled, in such circumstances NO REFUND will be provided.

The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No Arguments will be entertained.
