Fort Info:
Bhorgiri is a small fort located below the plateau of bhimashankar. The trek route is through dense jungle and provides many opportunities for nature lovers and particularly Photographers !! One can see the state animal of Maharashtra which Giant Squirrel, in local language recognized as Shekru .The dense forests of Bhimashankar wildlife sanctuary plays host not just to 'Shekru' - the giant squirrel but also to a variety of plants and animal species. There are wild boars, barking deer, porcupines and even leopards. In monsoons one can spot bio luminous fungus on the trees which gives a faint shimmering glow to the tree trunks in the darkness of night.

This trek is very beautiful throughout the year and in all seasons. The Bhorgiri Fort is worth visiting as it has 17 water tanks at the top. The origin of the Bhima river is on the way of this trek route.

Iternary -:

06th August

Participants will meet at 10.30 am at Rajgurunagar Bus Stand (40 kms from pune)

Pune Participants will meet at Shivajinagar Bus Stand at 8.00 am  

Nashik Participants will meet at Thakkar bus stand at 6.00 am

Mumbai Participants can reach pune before 8.00 am or else they can catch direct Bhorgiri bus leaving from borivali from below nearest Station -:

 

Borivali Nancy Colony -: 06.30 am (Starting Point)

Kandivali Central bank -: 06.45 am

Goregaon phata  -:  07.00 am

Ghatkoper -: 07.10 am

Vashi depo -: 07.45 am

Nerul -: 08.00 am

Konkan Bhavan -: 08.10 am

Panvel -: 08.30 am

Khopoli -: 09.00 am

 

Day 1 -: Reach Bhorgiri village ( 50 kms from Rajgurunagar) and visit Bhorgiri Fort

Stay at campsite & dinner

Day 2 -: Have breakfast and start journey towards bhimashankar

the trek goes through beautiful bhimashankar forest, its Easy nature walk of approx 7 kms goes through Gupt bhimashankar .

Reach Bhimashankar by 01.00 pm and visit temple. have lunch and start our return journey to Manchar.

Reach Manchar by 3.30 pm. and will proceed towards Nashik/pune/Mumbai with available transport

 

Trek Fee -: 990 /- Per Head

(Fee Includes 2 breakfast/1 dinner/ Tea and 1 Lunch at bhimashankar, Rajgurunagar to Manchar travelling exp, Expertise charges)

Trek fee excludes -: Till Rajgurunagar & From Manchar Travel expenses, any personal expenses participants do apart from mentioned above

Good quality sports shoes

some dry snacks

Put all above things in plastic bag before putting them in Good quality haversack

 

Terms -:

Use of plastic glass, plate is not allowed

Consumption of Alcohol and smoking is strictly prohibited

Leader will have full rights to make changes in plan as per the situation
