Hampi is an ancient village located on the banks of River Tungabhadra in Karnataka. It is recognised by UNESCO as one of the World Heritage Sites in India.Standing within the ruins of the Vijayanagara Empire, it was renowned because of its immense wealth, flourishing art, literature and trade in ancient times. Now, the ruins of Hampi are captivating and unreal and are sure to leave you breathless, with stacks of giant boulders resting carelessly, blue skies with popcorn clouds and green paddy fields.
