If a trekker wants to really test his / her time management skill, stamina, patience, and presence of mind, then this is one trek a trekker must look forward to do. Starting from fort Rajgad near Pune and concluding at Durga-Durgeshwar Raigad, this trek takes you to long and demanding route in Sahyadri along with superb scenery.

This demanding trek can be completed in 3 days:
Rajgad to Pasali.
8:00 reach base village Pali.
11:00 am rajgad summit 12:00 pm move towrd pasali via alu darwaja..
6:00 am reach Pasali. rest
Pasali to dapoli via agyachi naal.
6:00AM wakeup call
7:00 AM b/f
move to Ekkalgaon.
11:00 AM Ekkalgaon.
12:00 PM towards Agyachi Naal.
6:00 PM reach at Dapoli.
Dapoli Village to Raigad.

It is desirable to leave Rajgad as early as possible. Lunch and snacks can be carried. Route towards Raigad is from Alu Darwaza of Sanjivani Machi. Alu darwaza is situated on the left side while heading towards Sanjivani machi. Little descend has to be done from Alu darwaza to come out of fortification of Sanjivani machi.Here, descend from Rajgad begins. The road is straight and passes through a small hills.
From the Ekkalgaon, one can get a clear view of Raigad on the west.The view of Fort Raigad is inspiring to all of us in many ways. In this trek it is even more inspiring as it is an indication that the goal is near to be achieved. This gives an extra impetus to the tired body and the mind to achieve this goal.
On this route there are steady rocks thus making descend easy. On the way there are couple of rock patches which can be descended without a rope. After a descending for an hour from Ekkalgaon there is a big rock patch. This can be tricky to identify, and hence one needs to be accompanied by a villager / local who is familiar with these routes. From this joint, it takes about an hour to reach in to Veera river. one can refill water and gather some rest.
The main descend of Agyachi naal is over. There are many other routes joining desh and kokan in this area like singapurnaal, madheghaat, bocheghol etc. But, descend through Agyachi Naal is considered to be most challenging. From base of Agya Naal one has to descend to reach Dapoli village.The route is going thorought river and it takes approximately two hour to reach Dapoli Village. The water levels are not high during winter season thus making crossing the river easy.
by walking, it takes almost 4 hours to reach Raigadwadi-chittadarvaaza from Dapoli via Vagheri.
This fantastic trek comes to an end when we reach Gomukhi Mahadarwaza of Raigad. Summit at Ch. Shivaji Maharaj Samadhi is Satisfying. Most thrilling moment after we reach raigad is the view of lingana from Shivaji Maharaj Samadhi. If the sky is clear, one can view Torna and Rajgad from the same spot. I am sure every trekker will feel sense accomplishment at the end of this challenging trek...

# IMP NOTE
*Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen in spite of taking utmost caution and care.
*The club will not be responsible for injury / accident / death to the participant while on trek.

This is a very demanding trek. Physical fitness is key to complete this trek. There are chances of muscle pain or body pain hence, please keep proper medication. Though the recommended months to do this trek are November and December it is advisable to carry Hydration packs / Fluids, Fruits to reduce impact of sun.
Its Important to be fit before going for Treks. It is Important to have a medical fitness check up done.
