The winter season at Breakfree was full of adventure. And it only gets better this weekend as we head to Ratangad, nestled in the Bhandardara region! Much of the fort structures have vanished with time, although the caves remain. Situated at a staggering 4500 feet above sea level, the caves overlook the valley and the backwaters flowing below. Majestic peaks of Alang, Madan, Kuland, Ajoba and Kalsubai surround you!
Join us this Saturday as we trek to those caves atop Ratangad. Once you complete this 3 hour long, medium grade trek - lie down on the dried grass, gazing at the setting sun. In the evening, cook up a nice meal and share it with fellow trekkers under the stars. Spend a quite night in the caves which offer a fantastic view! Although, the sun sets behind the caves while in the mornings, it rises right in front of you.
Here's the plan!
The Breakfree Bus will leave from Borivali (Tata Power) at 430 am and take the western express highway to cover Malad-Andheri-Santacruz-Bandra(Kalanagar) - Sion and eventually hit the eastern express passing through Mulund Check Naka, Teen Haath Naka, Majiwada at Thane!
If you live anywhere on this route, we would be happy to pick you up!
Once at the caves, we would set up camp and make preparations for the night. You are welcome to carry ready to make foods or any of your specialties for the group! We are gluttons that way!
We would be back in the city by 1300hrs on Sunday, 10th Feb.
