We at, Bhramar have arranged a 2 days History study tour to fort Panhala,Pavankhind and Vishalgad  on 25th and 26th Jan (Starting from 24th Jan Mid night) 
Renowned historian Mrs. Shilpa Parab - Pradhan will accompany us for fort exploration. 
Little info About The Fort
Panhala fort (also known as Panhalgad, Pahalla and Panalla (literally "the home of serpents")), is located in Panhala, 20 kilometres northwest of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, India. It is strategically located looking over a pass in the Sahyadri mountain range which was a major trade route from Bijapur in the interior of Maharashtra to the coastal areas Due to its strategic location, it was the centre of several skirmishes in the Deccan involving the Marathas, the Mughals and the British East India Company, the most notable being the Battle of Pavan Khind. Here, the queen regent of Kolhapur, Tarabai, spent her formative years. Several parts of the fort and the structures within are still intact.

The Itinerary for the Trek is as given below:
Meeting Point : Thane (E) station @ 10:00 PM near Anand Talkies on 24th JAN 2015
We will be travelling by private bus till the Kille Panhala
Day 1
Breakfast at Panhala
Full day Fort exploration and history explanation by historian
Lunch, evening tea and dinner will be on fort only.
 Basic food and shelter facilities will be provided at fort Panhala
Day 2
Breakfast at Panhala and move to Pavankhind by 7:30 AM
Pavankhind exploration and Move to Vishalgad.
Reach Vishalgad by 10:30 AM. Vishalgad exploration and history (2 hours)
Lunch at Vishalgad and way back to Mumbai.
Things To Be carried:
1) ID
2) 2 Litre water, There are no good water sources on the fort.(Compulsory).
3) Torch with extra batteries (compulsory)
4) Some ready to eat food. (Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.)
5) Towel, a napkin, Extra Pair of clothes.
6) Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)
7) Windcheaters, if required.
8) A good trekking shoes/sandals
9) Camera, Cap etc. (Optional).
10) A haversack to put in all the things to be that one has hands free while trekking.
Important Note:
Please do not carry sling bags or Jholas. Avoid wearing Gold or other jewellery.
Its winter season so pack your bags accordingly.

Total cost per head is INR 2000/- Which includes Morning tea and Breakfast, Lunch, and Evening Refreshment(Tea),dinner on Sunday.

Do Not Litter:
Participants are requested to carry the waste back to the city and dispose it off in
Dustbins. All our treks are Eco-friendly; kindly take care of nature around us. Smoking or
Drinking alcohol during trek is strictly prohibited if anyone found doing that will be expelled
From trek without refund. Respect the Heritage and culture.
Be in a group: It is of utmost importance that all participants stick together in the group.
