Anjaneri is situated in Nashik district near Trambakeshwar. Anjaneri is situated at height of 4200 ft above sea level.

History: Anjaneri, known as birthplace of lord ‘Hanuman’. Lord Hanuman son of ‘Pavan’ (the wind) and ‘Anjani’, hence the fort is called as ‘Anjaneri’. Anjaneri is one of the important forts in the ranges of Trambakeshwar near Nasik. This fort is also known as second highest fort in Sahyadri.

What to see on Anjaneri …. 

Ø  Temple of Goddess Anjani Mata

Ø  Caves (architecture of these caves is Jain religion)

Ø  Bastions of the fort well in condition

Ø  Small Lake

Ø  Remains of old structure

      Ø  From the fort top we can have glimpse of  Kavnai, Bramhagiri forts. 


 Trek Schedule:

  • First pickup 10.30 pm Borivali (East) Station near 700 A/c bus Stop on Saturday 5th Nov 2016.
  • Second Pickup 11.30 pm Thane (East) ticket booking counter.
  • On 6th Nov 2016, early morning we will reach at Nashik. After Tea and snacks head towards the base village of Anjaneri Fort.
  • We will reach on the Anjaneri fort in two and half hour. We will see the fort and after Lunch we will get down at base village.  
  • We will reach Mumbai by 10.30 pm
  • Contribution per person is Rs. 1300/-

(This includes tea, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and private transport from Borivali to Borivali).
