Maharashtra has been gifted with the Sahyadri ranges. This range is well populated with many forts. These forts offer us a chance to observe the beauty of nature, skills of our ancestors and allow us to add a little thrill to our life. Trekking and Hiking in Sahyadri Mountains of Maharashtra is one of the most pleasurable monsoon activities and that gives a lifetime experience.

Sandhan Valley:-  Sandhan valley is one of the greatest canyons in the Sahyadri mountain ranges. It is a very good combination of a canyon and a valley. Located in the Nagar district, near the famous fort Ratangad, Sandhan valley is undoubtedly The Valley of Suspense.

Ratangad:- Located amidst the beautiful jungles of Western Ghat, Ratangad Fort is one of the most beautiful architectures to witness in the region and the best way to reach the fort is via trekking through the jungle trails.


Katrabai Pass: - The most important pass on Trans Sahyadri trek. This pass is known for passage between Ratangad and Harishchandragad. Ancient trade passes which used to trade in-between Samrad to Harishchandragad via Ratangad base.


Kalad Fort:-  Kaladgad is a remote fort located in Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra, India. It is located near Harishchandragad. The fort top is 1150 meter above msl. The fort is accessible fromPethechiwadi village. The village is located in Mula river basin. It is located at the dead end of the Bota-Kotul-Lavali–Paachnai-Pethechiwadi road, which runs along the north base of harishchandragad range.

Harishchandragad:- Harishchandragad (map) is a hill fort in the Ahmednagar district of India. Its history is linked with that of Malshej Ghat, kothale village and it has played a major role in guarding and controlling the surrounding region.


The itinerary for the trek will be as follows:

 Meeting Point Kasara Railway Station 01.00AM 24 June’ 2017 (We will be back to Mumbai on Monday 26 June’ 2017 by 18:00 PM tentatively.)

24 June’ 17:- Meeting at Kasara: - 01:00 am / Reach Samrad: - 04:00am / Rest / Wakeup at 06:00 Post bf/tea freshenup visit Sandhan Valley entrance 08:00am / Back to trail of Ratangad 09:00 / Reach Ratangad via Trambak Darwaja / Explore fort / Rest in cave

25 June’17:- Wakeup call at 06:00am bf/tea freshenup / Start trek to katrabai pass by 07:30am / Reach Kalad Fort Explore / Post Lunch Trek to Paachnai / Reach Paachnai by 18:00 Tentative / Stay in local villagers house / Post lunch retire of the day

26 June ’17:-  Morning wakeup call by 06:00am / Post bf/tea freshen up / Start trek via paachnai by 07:00am / Reach kokankada by 09:30am / back Kedareshwar cave / Taramati / Post lunch descend via Khireshwar route- Reach Khireshwar by 16:30 Tentative – Catch ST Bus – Reach Kalyan

  The cost for the trek will be INR 2800/- per head,

  • Travelling From Khubi phata to Kalyan (Bus)

  • 3 bf/Tea {poha/upma}, 3 Lunch, 2 Dinner (Veg Basic Village Food)

Note:- Stay in Caves or local villagers home so accordingly bring carry mat or sleeping bag or chadar

  • Mattress and one Chaddar (Compulsory)

  • Good Quality torch with extra battery (Compulsory)

  • Trekking/Sports shoes (Compulsory)

  • Extra pair of cloth

  • Sleeping bag / Mat / Chadar

  • Torch/Head lamp with extra battery


 Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations prior to 30days from the start of the trek -- 90% refund.

  • Cancellation before 15 days to the start of the trek -- 50% refund.

  • Cancellation a week to the start of the trek -- No refund.
