Peth is situated in Shahapur taluka, Karjat district. Height of this fort is 3100 ft above sea level. This fort is also known as Kothaligad.
About Peth Fort:
History: This fort is very small in size but was used as an ammunition storage and defense station during Sambhaji Maharaj's era. This fort is surrounded with other forts like Bhimashankar, Rajmachi, Dhak, Sidhhagad and Prabalgad

All Participants to take Karjat Train (slow) on 27th June (Saturday night) at 10:31 pm from CST.
(Train schedule (Karjat Slow) – CST 10.31 pm, Dadar – 10.49 pm , Ghatkopar 11.05 pm, Thane – 11.26 pm , Kalyan 11.57 pm, Karjat – 0.48 am
Will take rickshaw from Karjat (25 km) and reach at base Village of Peth.
Will commence on 28th June 2015 early Morning. Reach top in 2 to 2.5 hours
Watch fort & surrounding area for two hours and get down at Ambivali village via Peth village.
After lunch we will reach Karjat station.
We will return Mumbai around 7.00 pm on Sunday 28th June 2015.
Contribution per person is Rs. 700/-
(This includes Night Accomodation, tea, breakfast, lunch, snacks and transport from Karjat to Karjat).
