WSR - Ladakh Ride 24th July 2016

Motorbike / 4 Wheeler Ride ( Dream Ride for Every Riders )

Dear friends,

Team WSR very happy to share Ladakh MotorBike / 4 Wheeler Ride on 24th July 2016 plans with all of you. Ladakh the land of high passes is a region of India in the state of Jammu and Kashmir that lies between the Kunlun mountain range in the north and the main great Himalayas to the south. It is inhabited by people of Indo Aryan and Tibetan descent. From a traveller’s point of view, Ladakh has come to mean everything beyond Baralacha-La on the Manali Leh highway, and beyond Zoji La on the Srinagar Leh highway.

Historically, the region included the Baltistan (Baltiyul) valleys, the Indus Valley, the remote Zangskar, Lahaul and Spiti to the south, Aksai Chin and Ngari, including the Rudok region and Guge, in the east, and the Nubra valleys to the north.

Contemporary Ladakh borders Tibet to the east, the Lahaul and Spiti to the south, the valley of Kashmir, Jammu and Baltiyul regions to the west, and the trans–Kunlun territory of Xinjiang to the far north. Ladakh is renowned for its remote mountain beauty and culture. It is sometimes called "Little Tibet" as it has been strongly influenced by Tibetan culture.

An old Ladakhi Saying "Our land is so barren, and the Passes so high, that only the best friends or the fiercest enemies come to visit us".

We have two ride plans here, first is motorbike and second one is 4 wheeler ride. Again motorbike ride is two options.

1.       Mumbai – Ladakh – Mumbai: Riders have to ride from Mumbai to Ladakh and return to Mumbai

by road.

2.       Manali – Ladakh – Jammu: Riders opted this plan have to book their bike for railway transport service or other third party road courier service like Gati, Bluedart etc. Collect their bikes from Chandigad/Manali and join the ride with us. WSR will guide for booking procedure.

Four wheeler travel starts from Manali to Ladakh and from Ladakh to Jammu. Participants have to join us to Chandigarh/Manali as per their convenience.

Just being able to ride a bike is never good enough;

It’s about soul searching, testing your physical abilities, testing your endurance

And above all your gritty spirit
