Sarpass

The Sar Pass is in Parvati Valley of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, a state of India. Sar, in local dialect, means a lake. While trekking, across the path from Tila Lotni to Biskeri Ridge, one has to pass by a small, (normally) frozen lake (Sar) and hence the name Sar Pass Trek.

 

 

 

Itinerary of the event: 

 

Day 01: Sunday, 1st May 16

Reach Kasol :
Kasol is located about 30 km from Bhunter which incidentally is the airport nearest to Kullu. Any of those numerous Volvo buses from Delhi to Manali will drop you at Bhunter. From there an hours ride to Kasol which is just 5 kms before Manikaran. After reaching Kasol our repersentative will escort you to the Camp. Take a bath in bath and relax for some time. After Lunch You will have some time to take a tour of Kasol Market. Come back to camp by 8:00 PM. Take your dinner and go for sleep.

 

 

Day 2: Monday, 2nd May 16

Acclimatization and Rock climbing :
For any successful trek a good preparation is mandatory and trekbulls team know this thing very well. Day 2 is reserved for Acclimatization and rock climbing so that every trekker came to know about nature of mountains. Night Stay in Hotel.

Day 3:Tuesday, 3rd May 16

Kasol – Sheela – Zhirmi :
From Kasol to Sheela we will be traveling by road and from Sheela Village our trek will start. Sheela is an old and small village in Himachal on the bank of Parvati river. Initially our trek have a gradual ascend but before reaching Zhirmi you will find some stiff ascend. Today stay at Zhirmi Thach in middle of Junglee surrounded by snow capped peaks. If you have good fortune you can see black beer here.

 

 

Day 4: Wednesday, 4th May 16

Zhirmi – Tila Lotni :
Today trek is one of the toughest trek in our schedule. Today we will start our trek from the middle of the jungle and ends it at the Tilla Lotni. Today it will be your first encounter with snow on your trek and most probably we will be camping in the snow itself. Sun set and sunrise will be the most beautiful sights in this camp.

 

 

Day 5: Thursday, 5th May 16

Tila Lotni – Sar Pass – Biskari Thach :
This day is the most critical day of our trek, because we will be crossing the Sar pass today. We will start our journey little bit early as compare to othre day’s. Because in noon it is not easy to walk on the snow. We will be top on the peak today and could see the many famous peaks from there.
After Sar pass we will have an amazing experience of sliding on the ice of almost 1 KM. Today our stay will be at Biskari Thach. This is a very beautiful campsite with green plain land.

 

 

Day 6: Friday, 6th May 16

Biskari Thach – Bandak Thach :
Today trek is seems to be easy as we have to descend only, but take care of your feet properly because chances of foot injury is high today. Today camp will be at Bandak Thach. This will be the most beautiful site of your trek and you will feel like you are in Switzerland.

 

 

Day 7: Saturday, 7th May 16

Bandak Thach – Barsheni – Kasol :
Today is the last day of trekking and we have to trek till Barsheni. After Barsheni we will move to Kasol by road.

Note:
It is very important that you line the inside of your bags with a big polythene sheet. Doing so will ensure, that in the event of rain, even though your bag may get wet, your clothes will still remain dry!
