It is about one mile (approximately 1.61 km) long and is crescent-shaped; one can view the entire beach from either end. Both ends of the beach consist of rocks jutting out into the sea. The depth of the sea increases gradually, being shallowest at the northern end of the beach, making it safe for average swimmers, and the currents are not fast.
Day 2 – (Sunday, 24th December 2017)
Visit to Agoda Beach, Caba De Rama Fort
About Agonda Beach:
Agonda Beach: Is a large village located in Canacona in South Goa, India. Agonda is famous for its beach and It is one of the only four beaches designated as turtle nesting sites under the Coastal Regulation Zone 2011 notification. There is one more beach on other side of Agonda cliff called Cola beach which has an adjoining lagoon.
About Caba de Rama Fort:
Caba de Rama Fort: Portuguese claimed the Cabo de Rama Fort after defeating the Raja (King) of Soonda and renovated it subsequently. In the past, the fort has switched hands between Hindu, Muslim monarchs and the Portuguese and witnessed many battles in history. The present rickety structure with turrets and rusty cannons is a leftover of the Portuguese. The Portuguese equipped it with 21 guns and military barracks, as well as commandant quarters and a chapel. It was abandoned when the Portuguese left this place. Later, this fort housed a government prison till 1955 and was abandoned again. Today, this fort is in ruins, but is a popular tourist attraction of Goa.
Day 3 – (Monday, 25th December 2017)
Visit to St John the Baptist Church, Benaulim Beach, Varca Beach, Colva Beach
Enjoy Parasailing, jet skiing, boat ride and wind surfing (Additional Cost)
About St John the Baptist Church:
The Church of St. John the Baptist is one of the most famous churches in the entire state of Goa. Situated on a hill beyond the Benaulim town, this church was originally built near the shore and was shifted to this present location in 1956.
The church features low domes, four storeyed towers and rococo. Main altar inside the church has plain panelling and gallery in cornice design. Father Joseph Vas, who was born in Benaulim, was baptised in this chapel.
About Benaulim Beach:
Two beaches—Benaulim beach, which is the main beach, and Vaddi beach. Benaulim beach is popular among the locals and tourists alike. Apart from sunbathing and swimming, there are also options of parasailing, jet skiing, boat ride and wind surfing.
Benaulim's main market is located at Maria Hall, a community centre, where most accommodation, eateries, grocery stores and pharmacies are concentrated.
About Varca Beach:
Varca Beach: Located in South Goa, Varca Beach is a magnificent beach with 10 km long coastline. The sparkling blue water and the white sand beach make it picture postcard perfect. Varca Beach is a famous tourist destination. This quiet and clean beach is dotted with black lava rocks along with sunbeds. You will find colourful wooden boats, belonging to the local fishermen, lined on the beach. Varca Beach is popular among honeymoon couples. Take a boat trip on the River Sal to spot dolphins.
About Colva Beach:
Colva Beach: Located around six kilometres to the west of Margao, Colva Beach is one of the oldest beaches in South Goa. The coastline of the beach is some 2.5km long and is lined by coconut palms. This fine white sand beach, which extends from Bogmalo in the north to Cabo de Rama in the south, is a popular tourist destination and becomes crowded during peak season. Apart from the beach, Colva is famous for the the Menino Jesus statue at Colva Church, called Igreja de Nossa Senhora das Merces. The annual religious event at this church attracts visitors from across the country.
Day 4 – (Tuesday, 26th December 2017)
Visit to Mobor Beach, Tour Ends
About Mobor Beach:
Mobor Beach ends an amazing, smoothly extended 30-kilometer Goa Southern Coast beach strip. It was named after the nearest village, but it is a natural extension of Cavelossim beach and is perceived as the most southern part of it. Plus, this part of Cavelossim beach is also the noisiest one. That's the main difference between these two beaches. Mobor is more crowded. Here, in contrast to the quiet Cavelossim, life abounds and lots of endless bustling parties and shows are held. Actually, this place will be perfect for those who want to make their holiday more varied, always stay in movement or simply feel the light of secular life.
