PARVAT BUDDIES: Rajmachi Yoga Fest (2N/2D) 22nd & 23rd Dec 2018

The winters are here and we’re sure everyone of you yearns to get out of the hectic city life to some place where you can unwind and relax.

So, we at PARVAT BUDDIES have come up with the ‘Rajmachi Yoga Fest’ where you can learn and enjoy Yoga on a leisurely winter weekend surrounded by hills, calming your mind and soul as you seek peace within.
Apart from enjoying Yoga amidst the natural beauty of the hills, you will also enjoy some low endurance trekking and delicious village food.


Some Info about the place:
Rajmachi (826m/2710ft) is a tribal village located in the Sahyadri Mountains between Karjat and Lonavala. It is popular for its twin forts of Shrivardhan & Manoranjan, ancient Shiva temple, Kal-Bhairav Mandir, and a pretty little pond named Udaysagar. Historically, Rajmachi fort gained strategic importance as it was used to guard the trade route of Bhor.

Event Rules:
1] No Littering

2] Yoga & Trekking are healthy activities. So any unhealthy habit like Smoking is strictly prohibited. Consumption of alcohol, tobacco and drugs is also banned.
3] Care should be taken so as not to harm the natural surroundings including trees, plants (esp. Flowers), insects, reptiles and animals in any manner whatsoever.
4] Learn to detach yourself from the city life and be one with Nature. Don't disturb the peaceful environment of the hills by making unnecessary noises, shouting or playing loud music. Remember you are here to discover Your True Self - Listen To Your HeartBeat :)
5] Defacing/damaging historical monuments/temples/caves and indulging in Graffiti is strongly discouraged.
6] Respect the local culture and villagers. They are kind and helpful.
7] Follow instructions from Team Leader from time to time.


Tentative Itinerary:
(These are approximate timings. Actual timings may vary due to several factors)

Assembly:
At Khopoli Railway Station @ 12:30 AM sharp on Saturday, 21st December 2018.
(Recommended local train timetable will be shared upon completing registration)

Saturday, 22nd Dec 2018
0030 hrs: Reach Khopoli and Start journey for Rajmachi by private vehicle.
0200 hrs: Reach Udhewadi village. Take rest till dawn.
0600 hrs: Good Morning – Freshen up for an activity filled day.
0700 hrs: Breakfast.
0730 hrs: Go out for a short walk around the village for sightseeing.
0830 hrs: 1st Yoga session followed by resting time.
1230 hrs: Enjoy delicious local lunch followed by some leisure activities/games.
1530 hrs: Trek up the fort for 2nd Yoga session followed by an amazing view of the sunset.
1930 hrs: Dinner time.
2030 hrs: Night Walk.
2200 hrs: Time to relax for the day.

Sunday, 23rd December 2018
0500 hrs: Wake up – Meditation Session.
0600 hrs: Freshen up.
0700 hrs: Breakfast.
0830 hrs: Third Yoga Session
1230 hrs: Lunchtime.
1430 hrs: Bid adieu to Rajmachi and resume journey for Khopoli.

Take the next available local train for Mumbai.

Things you should carry (COMPULSORY):
In order to have an enjoyable time in the outdoors, one needs to be well equipped with the following things:

1] Identity Proof.
2] Rucksack (~40L) (preferably with rain-cover).
3] SHOES
4] TORCH / HEADLAMP with extra batteries.
5] SLEEPING BAG OR Shawl.
Food & Hydration
6] Personal Water Bottle (at least 2 litres, Prefer metal bottles over plastic ones)
7] Light SNACKS like biscuits, energy bars, candies, dry fruits & nuts, ORS, some juicy fruits as per your liking.
Clothing & Accessories
8] Wear Clothing which allows flexibility
9] SWEATER/JACKET and Buff/Scarf
10] CAP / HAT, SUNGLASSES, SUNSCREEN LOTION.
11] Extra pair of clothes, a
lightweight towel, and flip-flops.
Miscellaneous
12] Small garbage bag to dump wrappers, tissues etc.
13] Dry bag to store your wet clothes & Shoes.
14] Toiletry Kit

Optional (recommended):

Small Knife, Whistle, Matchbox, Candle, Diary & pen.
Camera.
Personal Medicines.

Registration Process:

No. Of Seats: Min 6 and Max. 14 seats only (First come First Serve on Payment Basis)

Deadline for registrations & payment: 4pm, 19th December 2018 (Wednesday).

Your seat will be booked only when we receive complete participant details along with the confirmation (transaction id/screenshot) of the online payment. Please call us on the below-mentioned number to know the Bank Details for Funds Transfer.


IMP:
Any outdoor activity is physically demanding should NOT be confused with picnic. Do not expect home like comforts in the hilly terrain.

It is important to be in good health and to have a basic level of physical fitness to ensure a happy time during the event. Consult your doctor before joining the event if you’re suffering from any ailment/injury.

It is important for all participants to abide by the instructions of the team leader from time to time. Any violation of Event Rules or misbehaviour will be dealt with strictly and the participant will be expelled from the group immediately without any refund. The time schedule for the event has to be followed strictly by every participant so as to have a timely and safe execution of the event.

Avoid Jeans/Belts/Sling bags as it is important to walk freely in the outdoors. Shorts, 3/4ths and Sleeveless tops are strictly NOT allowed.

Avoid bringing costly gadgets/devices and valuables like jewellery etc. Carry only sufficient cash.

Try to keep the weight of your bag as less as possible.

Wrap your belongings in dry bags to protect them from dust and/or rains.

Lastly, leave a brief note about this plan at home.
