Roopkund is a high altitude glacier lake in Uttarakhand state of India. Due to the awestrucking beauty of nature and mountains on the way to lake, Roopkund has recently gained higher attention amongst avid trekkers.
Roopkund Lake is also known by various names like “Skeleton Lake” and “Mystery Lake”. Thousands of skeletons have been seen here since long which creates a mystery, after all from where these skeletons have arrived here. Roopkund’s skeletons were featured in a National Geographic documentary, "Riddles of the Dead: Skeleton Lake"
Nevertheless, whatever the history can be, the mystery of The Mystery Lake, still continues. With full of curiosity related to the astonishing evidences, the Roopkund Trek allows one to have the glimpses of secrets buried by nature. During this trek, trekkers come to know the story & witness the truth hidden behind the curtains; the essential things needed for it is spirit, curiosity, guts & feeling of a real expedition.
