YatriSahyadri has organized a trek to Sandhan Valley on the 30th of April, 2016.
(Starting 30th late evening)

Sandhan Valley: 
It’s a valley to the Southwest of Bhandardhara in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.

At the base of Ratangad Fort is an ancient 1000 year old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva (Amurteshwar) in Ratanwadi Village which is on the banks of Bhandardhara Lake of Ahmednagar district. This small hamlet with very few houses has an amazing view of the highest mountains in Sahyadris and the backdrop of the lake. 

SCHEDULE:

Day 1 – Saturday, 30th of April, 2016.

10.30 pm: Bus departs from near Magathane Depot, opp. TATA STEEL LTD., Borivali East on the Western Express Highway, 
11.00 pm: Pickup from Oberoi Mall Goregaon East,
11.30 pm: Pickup from Bisleri Junction, Andheri East,
12.00 MIDNIGHT: Pickup from Sion Station.

DAY 2 – Sunday, 1st May, 2016.

12.30 am: Pickup from Thane on the Eastern Express Highway,
01.00 am: Pickup from Kalyan on the Eastern Express Highway,
Travel time approx 4-5 hours.
(Please carry or have your dinner before boarding the bus)

05.00 am: Reach base village. rest for a while.
06.00 am: Breakfast, Introduction and other formalities.
07.00 am: Start trek from Samrad towards Sandhan Valley.
Trek time approximately 2-2.5hours.
07.30 am: Photography at Konkan Kada.
09.30 am: Reach the mouth of the valley.
Enjoy the scenic beauty of this ravine, click some pictures and proceed back to Samrad,
10.30 am: Return trek to Samrad.
12.30 pm: Lunch,
01.30 pm: Proceed towards Shree Amruteshwar Temple at Ratanwadi village the base of Ratangad,
3.00pm – 4.00pm : Exploring and photography of the temple 
4.00 pm: Proceed towards Mumbai
06.00: Tea and snacks break.
6.30pm: Proceed towards Mumbai
1.30 pm: Reach Mumbai.

Charges: Rs. 1,250/- per person. 

Minimum participants - 6 only
Maximum participants - 15 only. 

INCLUDES:
Commute by private AIRCONDITIONED bus,
1 Morning breakfast/tea,
1 Lunch,
1 evening breakfast/tea,
Expert guidance for the trek.

Here is a list of all the things that we need to carry for the trek:

1. Your dinner for Saturday night,
2. Waterproof/Water resistant haversack to put in all the things to be carried,so that one has hands free while trekking,
3. Water minimum 2Ltrs,
4. Camera (Optional),avoid wearing jewelry,
5. Please carry a set of used newspapers, matchbox, torch, batteries and chocolates (No lozenges) for energy, Electoral / Enerzyl powder, 4-5 lemons, some snacks & biscuits.
PLATES, SPOON AND GLASS. (All reusable & compulsory),
6. Personal medicines & 2 plastic bags for weight distribution, insect repellant cream (Odomos or similar brand),
7. Sunscreen lotion/cream,
8. A Good pair of running/trekking shoes and extra clothes (compulsory),
9. Clothing as per your requirements of the stay and season in which trek is going to be done.
(Avoid wearing jeans as it will rub against your skin leading to rashes)

Please note that "attending" RSVP on Facebook will not be considered as a valid registration.
